Intensify global take-over –Fadu to colleagues

GHANAIAN-DUTCH musician Fadu, born Faduad Hammond, has urged hercolleagues in the country to intensify their efforts to take over the global music scene.

Fadu mentioned the importance of pushing beyond local boundaries and exploring international markets to gain widespread recognition.

In an interview with Graphic Showbiz, Fadu said Ghanaian musicians possess immense talent and potential, but often fall short in terms of global exposure.

So, her call to action is motivated by the growing experiences of the digital space, urging Ghanaian artistes to promote their music on digital platforms.

“We have the talent, we have the passion, and we have the drive. Now it's time for Ghanaian artistes to take our rightful place on the global music stage.

“Let's push beyond our borders and show the world what we're capable of and with digital platforms, the assignment is easier,” she said.

Fadu, who was a nominee for the Diaspora Artiste of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards Europe 2024, is promoting her new single, Far Away.

According to her, Far Away, was born out of a desire to craft a motivational tune that fosters a positive mindset.

 “It’s a song that everyone can relate to in their own way and it is meant to bolster self-confidence,” she added.

The song was produced by Said Nawrozzada and recorded at the Southbeats Studios in the Netherlands.

Fadu, who is studying at The Hague University of Applied Science in the Netherlands, has recently been in the headlines after releasing singles such as Yah Luv, a Reggae tune, Go Away, Feelings, Desire, and Number 1, which are all out on all digital platforms.

Fadu, is managed by movie producer/director Ato Yanney Jnr of Gatlink Music Studios in Tema and she is very positive of a bright future in music business.

Hence, she’s working on possible collaborations with some of the renowned artistes in Ghana and Nigeria to further boost her brand and relevance back home.
