KK Fosu for ‘Trotro and Taxi’ concert
For the love he has for taxi and trotro drivers, highlife artiste, KK Fosu, has teamed up with other artistes to celebrate his fans of the commercial driving sector with a concert dubbed, Trotro and Taxi.

Scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 30, at the Accra International Trade Fair Centre, some of the musicians who will support KK Fosu on the night are Nana Quame, Quame Zaggy, Rudebwoy Ranking, Paa Kwesi, Nii Funny and Dada Hafco.
The others are Ras Kuuku, Wutah Kobby, Article One, Perpetual Didier, Yaw Stone, Vybrant Faya, Episode and Ohemaa Dadao.
Organised by Events Republic and EIB Networks, the event is also aimed at educating taxi and trotro drivers on the need to protect lives by driving carefully.
In an interview with Showbiz, Mel Kwesi Davis, CEO of Events Republic said his outfit put together the concert to make taxi and trotro drivers feel being a part of show business.
He said many times, they have been sidelined because they are not considered relevant in the entertainment industry but they have in their little ways, helped to promote Ghanaian music by playing them in their cars.
“We thought it wise to show appreciation to them for their support all these years. KK Fosu was selected to headline this year’s show but be a different musician lead the concert in subsequent years since this is going to be an annual affair.
“It is our hope the taxi and trotro drivers turn up in their numbers because this is home-made concert prepared solely for them,” he stated.
