Les Femmes band for Zambia
Ghanaian all-female band, Le Femmes, will leave Accra for Lusaka, Zambia on Sunday, June 25 at the invitation of the Ghana High Commission in the southern African country.
The seven-piece band will perform there as part of the entertainment package for President Nana Akufo-Addo who will be in Zambia from June 26 to June 29 at the invitation of the country’s President, His Excellency Edgar Lungu.

President Lungu was in Ghana for the inauguration of President Akufo-Addo on January 7 this year.
Les Femmes has been around for about three years. The group comprises Sita Korley (keyboards), Ruby Nuunu (lead vocals), Abena Ampomah (guitar), Vida Ofoli (percussion/flute), Ama Ekem (electric bass), Abigail Aniapam (drums) and Joana Denaka (trumpet).
“We are excited and looking forward to the trip. We are always glad for any opportunity to reach new audiences. We trust Zambian music lovers would enjoy our wide repertoire of jazz, highlife, Afro-beat, salsa, reggae and other styles.,” said keyboardist, Sita. The band returns to Accra on June 30
