Miss Ghana 2026 contestants join Bus Stop Boys, BOST to champion National Clean-Up

Contestants of the 69th Miss Ghana pageant joined the National Clean-Up Exercise on Saturday, teaming up with the Bus Stop Boys and BOST Energies to support President John Dramani Mahama's call to restore cleanliness across the country.

Led by Chairperson of the Miss Ghana Foundation, Inna Patty, Esq., the contestants cleaned gutters, streets and public spaces in East Legon, Bawaleshi and Shiashi, demonstrating their commitment to environmental sanitation and civic responsibility.

The exercise forms part of the Miss Ghana Foundation's Beauty with a Purpose initiative, which encourages contestants to champion community service, volunteerism and sustainable development.

According to the Foundation, the pageant goes beyond beauty by nurturing young women to become leaders and agents of positive change, with a strong emphasis on compassion, service and national development.

Speaking after the exercise, Inna Patty described the initiative as a reminder that nation-building begins with individual action.

“It was hard work, incredibly rewarding and reminds us that building the Ghana we all desire begins with each one of us. Clean communities are healthier, safer and more attractive for investment and tourism. We commend His Excellency the President for championing this national initiative and applaud the remarkable work of the Bus Stop Boys and BOST Energies for leading by example.

“At Ghana Foundation, we believe leadership is demonstrated through service,” she said.

She commended President Mahama for championing the national clean-up initiative and praised the Bus Stop Boys and BOST Energies for their commitment to promoting environmental cleanliness.

She added that the Miss Ghana Foundation is committed to producing contestants who are not only pageant queens but also responsible citizens and change-makers who inspire others through service.

The exercise attracted volunteers from various organisations, highlighting the importance of collaboration among the public, private and civil society sectors in promoting environmental sustainability.

Held under the theme "Empowering Women, Enduring Legacy," the 69th edition of Miss Ghana continues to promote leadership, education, entrepreneurship, advocacy and social responsibility alongside beauty.

Miss Ghana 2026 is organised by Exclusive Events Ghana with support from Multimedia Ghana.
