Moesha switches bad roles for a good one in Hero
After acting bad girl roles in movies since she came into the make-believe industry, actress Moesha Boduong has eventually landed her first major good girl role in a new film titled Hero.

Hero seeks to address societal problems such as Mental Health, issues of Witches Camps and streetism.
In an interview with Moesha from her New York base, she said playing such a role is a dream come true.
“As an actor, it is a good feeling when you move from the small roles to big ones. I thank God that my prayers have been answered. I have done a lot of bad girl roles and this is just one that will prove that I am fit for any role.”
Talking about the role she said, “Moesha plays the character of Miss Dwomoh, a Senior High School teacher who discovers the talent of a young girl called Lamisi, prepares and nurtures her to contest for a local quiz, which eventually leads to her representing Ghana in the West African quiz competition.
“This role I must say shows that part of me that people do not know. It will be premiered soon and I cannot wait for Ghanaians to see me in action. For this one, in terms of costume, i did not expose flesh as people know me to do. “
She described working with Kumasi based actor Bernard Nyarko who also played an educationist in the same movie as amazing.
“Bernard is a talent on his own. His understanding of the script made it easy for me to flow with him. I fed on his energy and he did same with mine. He was professional on set and I don’t mind working with him again.”

Though Moesha is excited about the new development, she cannot forget to talk about the challenges that came with it.
“It was not an easy journey but I am sure I rose to the occasion. I took days to read about the character so that I can play it well. Apart from that, I learnt a lot, it was an eye-opener. A lot of research went into it and I am glad I accepted the role
“It was an emotional one but I tried to be professional so as not to shed tears. Women are suffering, lots of them especially the olds ones are accused of witchcraft and treated like trash. Ghana needs to stand up and get things right, “she said.
Hero is directed by Barbara Anakwa of Chrisloe Entertainment and produced by Benjamin Dwomoh Doyen of Messiah Entertainment.
The movie is a social problem film written to lift the veil from some hidden plight; it is a courageous story of change brought by a young girl from the Northern part of Ghana and her mentally ill guardian.
Due to the nature and plot of the movie, the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Mental Health Authority Ghana, Ministry of Tourism Culture and Creative Arts , Millennium Child Support Group, Global Voluntary Organization among others are supporting the project.
