Nick Cannon would ‘listen’ to Bill Cosby

In the past month, the 77-year-old comedian-and-actor has been accused of sexually assaulting at least 17 women decades ago. Cosby has denied the allegations, with his lawyers issuing statements slamming them.

Last week it emerged the Los Angeles Police Department would investigate any claims filed with them, although so far none have been.

Now Cannon, 34, actor, TV host and musician, has said his piece regarding the allegations against Cosby.

“It's a sad situation for everyone involved...it hurts my heart." @NickCannon on #BillCosby." CNN tweeted, following an interview with the star.

"I want to hear from him. I wouldn't tell him anything. I would just listen." @NickCannon on what he would tell #BillCosby (sic)

Other topics Nick covered in the live interview included the civil rights' movement, which he described as "beautiful".

He also opened up on the very personal topic of his split from wife Mariah Carey.

He married the singer in 2008 and they have three-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan together. But in August this year they announced they had separated.

"I never wanted to step out there and confirm or deny because it wasn't really anyone else's business," he said.

"But obviously because of the media and being in the public eye, you have to speak on things because people are going to be curious. One thing I want to say is: yo, we're a family, we're human and we're dealing with it as a family."

He added that he's not dating anyone new because he's not "ready" and would rather focus on his children.
