Ofori Amponsah to mark 25 years in music industry
He has been showered with all the accolades that a musician his worth should enjoy and well-loved highlife musician, Ofori Amponsah intends to mark his accomplishments with a concert next year.

The days also marks Ofori Amppnsah’s 50th birthday and he is already promising a ‘showdown’.
“I have invited a lot of musicians to join me on my big day. Although I am yet to confirm the venue, I must say that I am impressed about the willingness of my colleague musicians to support and make the day memorable for me considering that the day also marks my 50th birthday.
“It is going to be a great concert because it’s been long I performed live and I know Ghanaians. The journey has not been easy but I am glad I’m here,” he said.
Asked what patrons should expect, Ofori Amponsah boasted about his rich collection of hit songs and was very confident the audience will have a good show.
“I have 15 albums with many hit songs which I will be performing live with support of my band and backup singers. I assure a great delivery that day,” he said.
Born Samuel Ofori Amponsah, the Alewa singer got noticed on the music scene when he was featured on Daddy Lumba’s Wo Ho Kyere in 1999.

He rode on the recognition to release his first album with Owusek Productions in 2000, titled Asew, which had eight tracks. Meprawo, Sardine, Odwo, Emmanuella, Tintin, Sampson and Delilah are some of his well-known songs.
