Roverman’s Bananas & Groundnuts

For the past seven years, Roverman Productions have brought Ghanaians 27 plays and in fulfilment of their promise to present a play every quarter, they present another classic, Bananas & Groundnuts.

In the first quarter of this year, they brought us Games Men Play followed by Forbidden, both of which attracted large audiences to the National Theatre.

So for the third quarter, Uncle Ebo and his team present Bananas & Groundnuts. The play tells the story of Ade who is intelligent and wins a huge case at work and faces death the following day.

On her birthday, she has an English breakfast and gets an Iphone6 and anticipates more but she is kidnapped as she leaves for lunch and all plans change.

If Roverman Productions are anything to go by then this is certainly a must-watch.

Bananas & Groundnuts comes off at the National Theatre on August 28, 29 and 30 at 4pm and 8pm daily and again on September 5 and 6 at the same venue and times.
