Throwback: When Kyeiwaa was young and wild at heart!

THERE is no doubt when players of the Akan movie industry dubbed Kumawood  are mentioned, the name of actress Rose Akua Mensah popuarly known as Kyeiwaa will come up.

She was very instrumental in the industry gaining grounds by playing various roles which endeared her to the hearts of movie lovers.

However, what did the magic for her is the 12-part film, ‘Kyeiwaa’ which made her a household name. She played the role of a witch perfectly in ‘Kyeiwaa’, probably Africa’s movie with the most sequels and hence her nickname.

Kyeiwaa has featured in several movies such as ‘Akonoba’, ‘Abebrese’, ‘Cross Road’ and ‘Ogyam’.

The mother of two who currently lives in the United States of America has starred alongside popular actors including Emelia Brobbey, Nana Ama McBrown, Akrobeto, Lil Win, Nigeria’s Patience Ozokwor, among others.
