Tigo Ghana Meets Naija — Who knocks out who?

The friendly rivalry that has existed between Ghana and Nigeria takes another turn at the sixth edition of the Ghana Meets Naija musical concert, which comes off on Saturday, May 21, at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).

Dubbed, “the Battle of the Tribes”, the concert will match some of the biggest music heavyweights in Ghana against their counterparts from Nigeria in round after round of musical competition.

The two groups of musicians have been placed in “tribes” and round one of the battle will see Ghana’s Pappy Kojo come face to face with Harry Song from tribe Nigeria.

The round two will see the Shelele hit-maker and reigning Artiste of the Year, EL, test his strength against Olamide while Dancehall king, Shatta Wale, locks horns with Flavour in the last round of competition.

Even as music lovers wait to see which of these two tribes emerges victorious, the event promises to be a total musical experience that will go on to further the harmonious relationship that exists between Ghana and Nigeria.

One of the biggest musical concerts on the event calendar, Tigo Ghana Meets Naija returns in its sixth year, with a bigger and more exciting package for music fans in both Ghana and Nigeria.

In the past, the show has seen thrilling performances by artistes such as Brymo, Sarkodie, Tiwa Savage, Castro, Wizkid, Davido, D’banj, 4×4, Shatta Wale, R2bees and M.I .

Besides the friendly rivalry between the artistes from the two countries, the event is also a platform to promote musical collaborations between the artistes.
