The video of contractor Big Aidoo storming the offices of the GHA on the orders of the court with a court bailiff and police protection to tow the vehicles has been generating a lot of engagement on social media platforms since last Friday.

Bawumia

The Vice-President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia dominated the trends on Tuesday, February 11 with a Livestream of his address from the Town Hall Meeting and Results Fair in Kumasi.

The name 'Bawumia' saw a lot of engagement in reaction to the Vice-President saying the administration had delivered on 78 per cent of the 388 promises it made during the 2016 election campaign.

Despite wedding

It started on Thursday, February 13 and ended on Saturday, February 15, and by close of day every netizen had heard about perhaps the biggest Ghanaian wedding of the year so far or the hashtag #Kency2020.

Never has a Ghanaian wedding so captivated the attention of social media users but some social media users said they were indifferent about the nuptials between Mr Kennedy Osei - the son of businessman Osei Kwame Despite - and his now-wife Tracy Ameyaw.

Which part do I touch on? The procession of vintage luxury cars, the jewellery, the fashion, drones delivering the wedding rings or the social media commentary... Hopefully the video captures it all or you can follow the hashtag #kency2020 to see the best bits.

Buhari

Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari has been booed by residents of Maiduguri, the main city in the northern state of Borno, a day after 30 people were burnt to death in an attack nearby by Islamist militants.

The president came to pay his condolences but a video, shared online, shows young people shouting "ba ma so", which is Hausa for "we don't want", at the presidential convoy.
