VGMA Nominees Jam storms Tamale

The Nominees Jam, a regular feature of the annual Vodafone Ghana Music Frestival has been held in Accra, Kumasi, Takoradi and Koforidua in the last few years. Now it is the turn of Tamale and the free concert comes off Saturday at the Tamale Sports Stadium.

The line up of performers have been described by Charterhouse, the organisers, as “awesome”. A press statement released late last week, name top musicians  Sarkodie, Samini, and last year's Artiste of the Year – R2Bees as performers for the night.

The show will also feature top “crowd pleasers” such as Castro, Bisa Kdei, Stonebwoy, Joyce Blessing and other surprise acts for more  than 40, 000 music fans expected to be at the stadium.

Besides the Nominees Jam, the VGMA Festival will host an Industry Awards Night at  Alisa Hotel in Accra on April 26 while the VGMA Main Awards Night  comes off on May 3 at the Accra International Conference Centre. 

This year's event is sponsored by Vodafone and supported by Star Beer, Golden Tulip Hotel, Alisa Hotel, KPMG and GhOne TV.
