Wayoosi is not dead but sick- Bill Asamoah

Members of the Ashanti regional branch of the Ghana Actors Guild (GAG) has said, Kumawood actor Joseph Nana Osei Kofi also known as Wayoosi is not dead.

According to a statement issued by its President, Bill Asamoah, Wayoosi was not dead as was being rumoured but was sick and receiving medical care at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).

He however said, the guild was soliciting for funds to help cater for other medical needs of Wayoosi [their] beloved brother.

“We thus would like to draw the attention of the general public and the industry players that, whatever steps that needs to be taken towards our brother’s welfare has been initiated already”, Mr Asamoah said.

He however cautioned groups and individuals who wished to contribute to be careful about individuals who have already put out numbers for fundraising for the health care of the actor.
