Nominees of 2018 RTP Awards unveiled on Aug 3
THE eighth edition of the Radio and Television Personality Awards dubbed RTP Awards, which celebrates excellence in radio and television was launched on Friday, August 3 at the Holiday Inn, Accra.
In all 28 awards are up for grabs when this year’s RTP Awards comes off on October 6, 2018 at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
According to Prince Mackay, CEO of Big Events Ghana, organisers of RTP Awards, the night, which promises to be great will be laced with exciting music perfomances.
Five radio and television personalities are competing for the ultimate award which is the RTP Personality of the Year.
They include the current title holder, Nana Aba Anamoah—GHOne TV, Stacy Amoateng—Platinum Network, Nana Yaw Sarfo—Vision 1 FM, Patrick Osei Agyeman (Countryman Songo)—Adom TV and Bernard Avle—Citi FM.
Nana Aba, who hosts State of Affairs on GHOne TV, emerged the overall winner at the RTP Awards 2017.
She beat off competition from some of Ghana’s big radio and TV names including Bola Ray, Bernard Avle, Gifty Anti, Patrick Osei Agyemang to earn the bragging rights on a night that also saw her win other awards across the competitive categories of RTP Awards.
