Religious hallucination and phantasm among the black race
I repetitively insist that our problems as a race fulcrum on excessive religiosity and spiritualism. It has become habitual for blacks to offer prayers at every event from education to sports and from dawn to dusk, whether necessary or not. Blacks lay all their problems and predicaments in the realms of God and wait for solutions that never materialise and continue twirling in dejection.
If praying/worshiping were the ultimate, blacks would have been leading the world and recognised with respect but this is the contrary. We engross in titanic worship and prayer-babbling on a daily basis instead of doing the right thing that might impress God. What impresses God is for humanity to fulfill His mandate of sending us to the globe.

God’s creation of humans on earth was for an experimental purpose. This was to prove His supremacy. He created humans with scientific mind in raw form and concealed all wealth that will make humans live gorgeously like Him at different locations to develop ourselves. His creation of humans has proved flawless by all the wonderful exploits of hominids that have rationalised our way of life with all gaudy living criterions without noticeable contribution from the black race. Humans would have been living in antiquity should we refuse to stress our God-given brain to the utmost to develop our lot. Should humans fail this test, God would have destroyed us and created new species. It behoves us, therefore, to add value to ourselves through excessive toil. This is God’s philosophy that blacks misconstrue and continue to lag behind and remain distasteful in all spheres of life. His desire for us humans is not obsolescence but ingenuity and integrity. God Himself is an omnipotent scientist with gigantic innovations to
His credit; hence, whosoever conducts like Him flourishes and commands admiration.
Examples
To demonstrate the extreme spiritualism among blacks, the 1905 Maji Maji war between the Germans and the Tanzanians saw Tanzanians consulting the oracle man who gave them medicine and assured them no weapon could work against them and that if the Germans used guns, they would transform into water and if swords were used, they would turn into paper. None of these predictions worked and the Germans rumpled the Tanzanians massively to their spiritual idiocy.
According to David Rooney in his book titled ‘Kwame Nkrumah-vision and Tragedy’ in 1956, a similar scenario occurred among some National Liberation Movement (NLM) party members of the Ashanti territory who were the strongest opposition to the Convention People’s Party (CPP) led by Dr Kwame Nkrumah during the struggle for independence. They consulted an oracle man who predicted similar spiritual sassiness as that of the Tanzanians. In the event of trying to test the charm, a gunman experimentally shot two of the charm bearers who ended up at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital as pellets were extracted from their bodies to save their lives.
Biafran war
During the Nigerian civil war of 1967, the Nigerian Federal army overran the Biafran army after three years of bloody war. When it was obvious the Biafrans had lost the war, their leader, Colonel Odumegwu Ojukwu, deserted to seek political asylum in Cote d’Ivoire. As the Federal army entered Omuahea, the headquarters of the Biafran army, the inhabitants abandoned the town but pentecostal church members numbering 365 refused to escape and were seen praying when a battalion of the federal army sprayed them all to death.
Prayers for Ghana Airways
When Ghana Airways was nose diving and about to cripple in the 1990s, top management counted on a prayer crusade vigil at the Independence Square in Accra that was officiated by a Ghanaian reverend resident in Britain. At the said prayer crusade, the reverend gave them canes to whip the devil to cast out the demon besieging Ghana Airways. Within months, Ghana Airways crumbled without the prayer effectiveness and yet the reverend was not held accountable for his spiritual misguidance.

In 2016, Cameroun’s President asked his citizens to resort to witchcraft against Boko Haram, the Islamic State affiliated militants who have terrorised West Africa for years. Boko Haram fighters in turn rushed to sorcerers, commonly called Marabouts to obtain lucky charms and talismans to protect them in battle.
In Ghana, our Presidents (both current and past) placard religious leaders close to their bosom seeking prayers from churches, mosques and traditional shrines for protection and success and this mien permeates black domains. Prayers were offered by proxy across Nigeria for their ailing President Buhari who was already receiving professional treatment in the UK.
Our fellow blacks in the diaspora, after leaving the shores of the black continent for centuries, continue modernisms in worshiping and praying with sumptuous gospel music that never elevated them from the doldrums. Human parts are sourced among black Africans either by ritual slaughtering or by digging of graves for monetary gains spiritually. Black women who have lost their succulence due to ageing are branded witches. Our films, especially Nollywood are contaminated with religious miracles, a non-existent phenomenon that misleads our youth. This is what extreme religiosity/spiritualism has bequeathed on us as a race since our forebears.
Change but no change
The era of indigenous oracle men has given way to miracle men of God in modern religion. We are saddled with self-styled prophets and pastors who deceive their followers monetarily to live ostentatious lives. Innumerable examples abound in the insolent manner blacks relate to God that is not beneficial. We tend to preposterously glue to the unknown God that never seeks our favour truly because we do not understand His dictates but hunker inanely. This mediocre thinking keeps us backward and consequently controlled and enslaved by other races.

Our intrinsic disrespect on the globe is because no black owns nuclear technology/ weapon that are the determining factor for greatness and honour. Nature provided obstacles and hurdles for humankind to overcome difficulties and that is what has awakened the human intellect. However, the way these difficulties are tackled depends on our supreme ability to do so and not on any spiritual manoeuvres. We must not continue to foolishly believe these ubiquitous delusions to our indignity, otherwise we are transforming into subhumans.
