The Embassy of the State of Palestine has observed the International Day of Solidarity and Support of Palestine Within. The occasion was marked with a media briefing at the Embassy in Accra at the weekend. Ambassadors from the  Arab states of Egypt, Morocco, Kuwait, Saudi, Libya, Sudan, and Lebanon graced the event in solidarity.

In his address, the Palestinian Ambassador to Ghana, Mr Abdul Fathah K. A, Alsattari said “This day, we are proud of the stance for the solidarity of the free world and human right organisations. All Palestinian embassies around the world are marking this day concomitantly”.

The Ambassador who spoke through an interpreter said the racial violations, legal discrimination, development budget discrimination, by the Israeli government that had deepened their poverty level, constituted acts of terrorism.

He said over 1.5 million Palestinians lived under complete and direct sovereignty of the Israeli state.

Mr Alsattari, therefore called called on the international community to rise in solidarity against the racial discrimination and corrupt tendencies of the Israeli government against the people of Palestine.

The Ambassador said it was importance for the whole world to understand that the issue was no longer an Israeli-Palestinian one, but a terrorist tendency that contravened international resolutions.

“We affirm that the Palestinian issue, people, and lands are for all Arabs and the free world according to the All Arab Summit and United Nations’ resolutions.  Any tinkering with the historical existence of Palestine is against legitimate international resolutions,” he said.
