The event, which took place on the school’s premises at Dansoman in Accra, saw students from the JHS and SHS departments recite poems in the local languages and dressed in the attires of some of the traditional areas in the country.

The Ewe, Akan, Ga, as well as the Fante and Northern cultures were all represented by the students through clothes, music and dance.

The students also dramatised sketches about cleanliness, good parenting and the importance of education.

The Chairperson for the occasion, Madam Amanobia Doodo, lauded the students for their brilliant display.

She stressed that the Cultural Day celebrations should remind teachers of the way of life, beliefs, language usage, festivals and customs of the Ghanaian.

Madam Dodoo stated that even though culture was dynamic, there remained definite ways of doing things that defined the Ghanaian.

She called on parents to teach their children to appreciate the Ghanaian culture and make them understand the background of their respective tribes.
