From heart-warming tributes and family bonding moments to delicious cuisine and live band music, fathers will take centre stage on June 21 as The Mirror and Labadi Beach Hotel host a special Father's Day Lunch Buffet in their honour.
Guests will also have the opportunity to win amazing prizes including gift vouchers and lucky dips.
Speaking about the event, the Director of Marketing, Graphic Communications Group Ltd. (GCGL), Franklin Sowa, said the celebration is intended to create lasting memories between fathers and their children.
According to him, many people often overlook opportunities to appreciate their fathers despite the important roles they play in their lives.
"This is an opportunity to say thank you to Daddy in your own special way. It is an opportunity for families to create lasting and cherished memories together," he said.
Mr Sowa noted that the programme will also provide a platform for fathers to hear stories from other families and experience a different side of fatherhood.
He explained that beyond the buffet and live band performance, guests should expect surprises and special packages for fathers.
"We are creating an experience where people can see the softer side of fathers. Sometimes fathers do not hear enough about how much they are loved and appreciated. This event will give families the chance to express that love," he added.
The event will also offer guests the opportunity to interact with personalities from The Mirror and GCGL, including editors whose work many readers have followed over the years.
Mr Sowa said meeting the faces behind some of Ghana's most respected publications is expected to add a unique touch to the celebration.
Families will also enjoy a buffet featuring a variety of local and international dishes, accompanied by live music.
He confirmed sponsors for the event include: Ecobank, Woodin and X-Men.
