Meet Ghana’s first certified vehicle crime specialist
Ghana now has its first certified vehicle crime specialist.

He is Detective Corporal Frank Okyere Darko, a policeman with the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service.
Although fairly young, Detective Corporal Okyere Darko comes with a vast experience as a certified Intellectual Property Crime Investigator who is prepared to use his knowledge to help crack various forms of auto crimes in the country and the sub-region.
In 2016, he was transferred to the Auto Theft Unit of the CID Headquarters in Accra as an investigator, and it was there that he developed an interest in vehicle crime research.

He is a member of the International Association of Auto Theft Investigators (IAATI).
The IAATI is recognised as the highest professi
