Henry Quartey, MP for Ayawaso Central
Henry Quartey born on March 12, 1971, is a politician and serving his second term as the member of Parliament for the Ayawaso Central Constituency in the Greater Accra Region.
He is also a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and is currently the Minister for the Greater Accra Region. He was a member of the Roads and Transport Committee, a member of the Appointments Committee as well as the Gender and Children Committee. He was the Deputy Minister for the Interior and the Deputy Minister for National Security

Mr Quartey worked as a Sales and Marketing Assistant, Sales and Marketing Officer, and eventually, his role evolved into Sales and Marketing Manager, at the BBC Trading Company Limited.
He became the Regional Director, B/A – Sunyani for Dalebrook Company Limited and further went on to found the Ocean Marine Dolphins company, where he is still a director and shareholder.
He is also the Director Shareholder of Krafty Hospitality and Services Limited in Accra and Kumasi. Mr Quartey has been an active member of the Ghana Real Estate Developers Association (GREDA) since its inception in the mid-1990s.
He is married to Sybil Ansah Quartey with six children.
Philanthropy
In September 2021, Henry pledged to support Psalm Adjeteyfio with a monthly stipend of GH¢1,500. Henry claimed he was inspired by Psalm's impact in the film and entertainment industry in Ghana hence the pledge.
