GES reviews sanctions on 13 dismissed WASSCE candidates
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has reviewed its decision to bar 13 dismissed students from partaking in the ongoing West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) at their current centres.
This follows an intervention by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo who directed the Minister of Education to engage with the GES on the issue because the punishment was deemed harsh.
The students were dismissed from school for varying acts of indiscipline during the examination period last week.

It, however, upheld that the dismissal of the students from their respective schools.
They are therefore to write their papers and immediately vacate the premises of the schools.
