Philanthropist donates towards feeding students of Kpandai SHS

A Ghanaian philanthropist based in the United States, Joshua Bawa Nyambika, has donated an amount of GH¢10,000 to support the feeding of students at the Kpandai Senior High School in the Northern Region.

The gesture followed recent reports of inadequate food supplies in the various second-cycle institutions, particularly in the northern part of the country.

A representative, Balija Gmakuwuba Joel, presented the cash to the school's authorities on his behalf last Friday.

He explained that the gesture was to complement the government’s efforts to provide adequate meals for the students.

As an indigene of the area, he said the philanthropist was very passionate about the development of the school and pledged more support to the institution to help improve educational outcomes.

Receiving the cash, the Headmaster of the school, Mohammed Alidu, thanked the philanthropist for the gesture and said it would go a long way to help the school provide adequate and nutritious meals for the students.

"This gesture means a lot to us, it is reassuring to know that someone out there, cares about the school,” he said.

For his part, the District Director of Education, Yaw Safo, said the donation was timely as it would be used responsibly to alleviate the current food challenges.
