NSMQ 2024: Tamale SHS, Koforidua SHTS, Keta SHTS secure semi-finals spots
Tamale Senior High School (SHS), Koforidua Senior High Technical School, and Keta Senior High Technical School have secured well-deserved spots in the semi-finals of National Science and Mathematics Quiz (NSMQ) 2024 after a series of thrilling and fiercely competitive contests that kept audiences on the edge of their seats on Wednesday.
The first contest of the day featured Tamale SHS, St. John’s School, and Accra Academy in a battle of wits.

Tamale SHS rose to the occasion, demonstrating superior knowledge and quick thinking to accumulate 40 points, clinching the win.
St. John’s School, though narrowly missing the top spot, performed admirably with 38 points, showing remarkable resilience while Accra Academy finished the contest with 32 points.
In the second contest, Koforidua Senior High Technical showcased its academic strength, pulling ahead with an impressive 46 points, far outpacing its competitors, Adonten SHS and Ghana SHS, Koforidua, both of which had 25 points each at the end of the contest.
The third and final contest of the day saw a spectacular performance from Keta Senior High Technical School as they went up against Achimota School and Mpraeso SHS.
Keta SHS put on a sterling academic performance, raking in 54 points to secure victory in the semifinals.
Achimota School had 42 points with Mpraeso SHS following with 21 points, unable to keep pace with the fierce competition.
