Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission holds workshop

The Ameer and Missionary-in-charge of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission in Ghana, Maulvi (Dr) Abdul Wahab Bin Adam, has said that the mission is looking at ways of enhancing its services in the health sector to meet the health needs of the people.

Speaking at the opening of a three-day international workshop for medical doctors and directors of Ahmadiyya health facilities from 10 countries in both West Africa and Europe at the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission Hospital at Daboase in the Wassa East District in the Western Region, he said the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission would continue to partner the government in development.

The countries include Ghana,United States of America, United Kingdom, Pakistan, Sierra Leone, The Gambia and Liberia.

The workshop was organised by the international headquarters of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission and funded by Humanity First, an international non-governmental organisation (NGO) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission with its branch in Ghana.

The workshop comprised educational sessions on urology, laparoscopic surgery, inguinal hernia and neuro-surgery.

He said the workshop was organised to enable the participants to exchange ideas and share experiences to improve on medical practice and delivery.

Maulvi Adam also urged medical personnel of the mission to take inspiration from the Quran and be committed to their work.
