ALSALE Services engineers undergo training on Bulk Cash Deposit Machines
ALSALE Services Limited (ALSALE), a banking equipment support services company, recently organised a software and hardware training session for its engineers on ATMs and Bulk Cash Deposit Machines in Accra, led by a representative from GRG Banking.
The training aimed to enhance the engineers’ technical skills and improve service quality. ALSALE is currently the exclusive provider of GRG bulk deposit machines in Ghana, certified by the Bank of Ghana.
The bulk deposit machine and recycler ATM offer a comprehensive solution for banks in deposit mobilisation. The machines can function as self-service ATMs to receive bulk cash deposits both on-site and off-site while providing real-time account crediting, reducing cash-in-transit (CIT) pickups, and minimising the human resource challenges associated with maintaining implant tellers at off-site locations.
Cash collection and deposit mobilisation remain critical operations for Deposit Money Banks (DMBs) in Ghana. Traditionally, these processes have involved several manual stages, increasing operational costs, security risks, and delays in fund availability.
ALSALE is leading a transformative approach aimed at optimising these processes, improving operational efficiency, and significantly reducing costs and risks.

Current Industry Cash Collection Challenges
Currently, the average time between cash receipt by a cashier and credit into a retailer’s bank account is no less than three days. This traditional model presents several challenges, including:
-
High cash-in-transit (CIT) operational costs due to frequent collections
-
Duplicate handling costs resulting from manual processing
-
Increased security risks and potential shrinkage
-
Delayed account crediting
-
Multiple verification stages with associated risks
-
High-risk exposure during cash storage
Intelligent Cash Collection Solution
To address these challenges, ALSALE has introduced an intelligent cash handling and deposit solution that automates the deposit process using advanced technology to achieve real-time deposits and monitoring.

How It Works
Cashiers deposit funds into a secure automated deposit machine (Hub) integrated with the a-DEP application, which is connected to either the bank’s or the CIT provider’s host system. Once the cash is deposited, the retailer’s bank account is credited instantly.
Real-time transaction records are synchronised to a centralised server, allowing retailers and bank officials to monitor revenue and transaction data through a dedicated dashboard. CIT providers can also monitor machine cash levels and plan efficient cash pickups.
This end-to-end solution simplifies the cash cycle, enhances security, and provides real-time visibility into transactions.
