Apostolic Church donates Gh₵70,000 to COVID-19 Fund

The Apostolic Church Ghana, has presented a cheque for Gh₵70,000 to help government efforts at dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.

Presenting the cheque at the Jubilee House, the Vice President of the church, Apostle Frederick Agyemang, said their presentation was in response to the setting up of the COVID-19 Trust Fund in helping the poor and the needy.

He said the church believed that the entire Ghanaian community must rally behind the government and support its efforts at finding a lasting solution the problem and gave the assurance that the church would constantly pray and fast to seek God’s intervention.

The Chief of Staff at the Office of the President, Mrs Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, expressed the gratitude of the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the people of Ghana for the benevolence of the church.

She urged Ghanaians living in areas affected by partial locked down to strictly observe the restrictions spelt out to ensure that the country was able to halt the spread of the pandemic and deal with it.

She explained that the protocols, restrictions to stay at home and other measures have been instituted to prevent the spread of Covid-19, save lives and ensure the safety of all Ghanaians.
