The Executive Director, Mr Eric Osakunor said students should see the cancellation of the papers as a blessing in disguise as it would grant them an opportunity to study more.

‘Most students weren’t able to finish studying, therefore this event will give them a second chance to cover more and equip themselves for the examination’ he added.

He advised them to remain focused amidst the psychological effect the cancellation of the papers might have brought them.

The organisation made this known during a visit to the Opeikuma St Peter’s Anglican basic school and Hasse international school all in the Awutu Senya Municipality.

The coordinator of educational project, Mr Marvin Sesay said the foundation decided to embark on a tour to designated schools in the Central Region to inspire and encourage them to strive for excellence and hard work.

He further stressed that the initiative was part of the foundation’s efforts to support selected deprived and well-to-do schools in order to bridge the infrastructural and non-socialization gap that existed between them. Adding that, that when done would create an opportunity for both rich and deprived schools to socialise, learn and share ideas.

Students of the schools visited expressed their gratitude to the foundation and promised to study hard in other to excel when they re-sit for the papers.

The headmaster of St Peter’s Anglican School Mr George A.K Gharbin and the paramount chief of Opeikuma village Nana Opei Mensah II all expressed their profound gratitude to the foundation for their kind gesture and visit and pleaded that they come support them financially as the school is faced with enormous challenges, ranging from portable drinking water to infrastructure and learning material.

They also appealed on cooperate organizations and other foundations to come to their aid.

Michael Kesse Frimpong known by his stage name as Kesse, season four winner of TV3 mentor fame is a patron of the foundation.
