Sterling leadership

Launching the book, the publisher of the Ovation Magazine, Chief Momodu Dele, said society needed role models to guide and inspire young people to achieve their set targets.

He praised Mr Amoabeng for his leadership style and humility which, according to him, had inspired many people to establish their own companies.

Chief Momodu also commended the author for chronicling the achievements of Mr Amoabeng which, would be an important source of knowledge to society.

Reasons for publication

The author, Mr Amuzu, said he wrote the book to give others the opportunity to learn and know the ideas and leadership style of Mr Amoabeng.

He said another reason was to honour Mr Amoabeng for his achievements and  worthy-of-emulation character.

“I, however, believe that by documenting the life of our leaders from time to time, we will produce the next generation of leaders who will aspire to do what they did, learn from them and do more. This way we can continue to grow as individuals, as a nation and as a continent,” he said.

Mr Amuzu made a request to Mr Amoabeng to write his biography and form a foundation to groom future entrepreneurs.

“Just as we have Alan Sugar for the United Kingdom and Donald Trump for the United States of America, you should please consider hitting our national television screens with your version of the apprentice,” Mr Amuzu said.

Reviewing the book, the Chief Executive Officer of the Roverman Production, Mr Ebo Whyte, said the tense and language used in the book were plain and simple.

He said the book was not a full biography of Mr Amoabeng but reflects his professional life and corporate and business achievements.

Mr Whyte described the book as “reader friendly”,  saying each chapter of the book has titles which reflect the contents of the chapter.
