Speaking on behalf of the Brong Ahafo Regional Director of Health Services at a special send-off ceremony at the hospital grounds, the Medical Director of the Brong Ahafo Regional Hospital, Dr Jacob Abebrese, commended the retirees for their selfless devotion to duty when working in the hospital.

He urged the current crop of workers of the hospital to emulate the shining example of the retirees and to work hard to promote quality healthcare so that they would also be honoured in a grand style.

The retirees, made up of doctors, nurses, anaesthetists and other support staff such as drivers, security men and kitchen staff, ended their services in 2013, 2014 and 2015. They were given special awards, in appreciation of their dedicated services to mankind including a cash donation by members of the taxi drivers’ union of the hospital.

The function, which was chaired by the Maawerehene of Awua-Domase, Nana Osei Boadi Amponim, was graced by other dignitaries, including the Queenmother of the Sunyani Traditional Area, Nana Yaa Nyamaa II.
