The items worth several thousand of Ghana cedis were provided by companies such Latex Foam, Pokupharma Company, Amponsah Efah Pharmaceuticals and Kama Health Services.

The Regional Officer of NACOB, Mr Francis Opoku Amoah, said the presentation was to assure the inmates that they have not been forgotten by the outside world.

He said the donation of medicine was to ensure that the inmates remained healthy to go through the reforms that would make them useful to society upon their release.

He said the board would  collaborate  with businesses in the region to ensure that the inmates, especially those incarcerated for drug use became useful for society.

He was grateful to the various companies that assisted the board in making the presentation to the inmates of the Prison.
