Deputy Education Minister denies cutting short trip to fix SHS placement mess
Deputy Minister of Education in charge of General Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum has denied media reports that he has had to cut short a trip to the United States of America in order to return home to fix the confusion that has rocked the Senior High School placement exercise.
Dr. Adutwum who has been at Oxford in the United Kingdom as the keynote speaker of the United Kingdom Forum for International Education and Training (UKFIET 2019 Conference), said in a statement that he had done with his address and that he would be heading back to Accra.
He also expressed confidence in the Education Minister and the rest of his team to resolve the issues confronting the process.

“As the deputy Minister, I work under the direction of the Minister and I have every confidence in the team that is managing placement.
“There may have been challenges but these issues happen with technology and the team would resolve the issues.
“I am committed to helping my Minister to fulfill the mandate of President Akufo-Addo of ensuring free and accessible secondary education to every Ghanaian child.”
