Former CSA boss Dr Antwi Boasiako named Executive Chairman of e Crime Bureau

A former Director General of the Cyber Security Authority, Dr Albert Antwi Boasiako, has been appointed Executive Chairman of e Crime Bureau by the newly inaugurated Board of Directors of the firm.

The appointment marks a return to the organisation he founded in 2011, where he previously served as Principal Consultant until 2017 before entering public service to establish and lead the Cyber Security Authority as its first Director General until March 2025.

Dr Antwi Boasiako is widely credited with spearheading the institutionalisation of Ghana’s cybersecurity framework, overseeing a dramatic improvement in the country’s cybersecurity readiness score from 32.6 per cent in 2017 to 99.27 per cent by 2025, according to the International Telecommunication Union’s Global Cybersecurity Index.

Beyond Ghana, he played a continental leadership role as the founding Chair of the African Network of Cyber Security Authorities, working with the Smart Africa Alliance to adopt the network’s constitutional framework and a five-year blueprint aimed at strengthening cybersecurity development across Africa.

His appointment coincides with the inauguration of the third Governing Board of e Crime Bureau, a move aligned with the firm’s Transition and Growth Strategy, which seeks to expand its service portfolio and extend its market reach both within Ghana and across selected international markets.

In his new role, Dr Antwi Boasiako is expected to lead the Board in providing strategic direction while driving efforts to position e Crime Bureau as a Pan African leader in cybersecurity consulting, technology solutions and business transformation.

As part of the same strategy, the firm has appointed a Consulting Chief Executive, Mr Emmanuel Agyei, a seasoned business leader, to provide operational leadership and oversee the execution of the Bureau’s growth agenda.

Other members of the Board include Mr Daniel Adoteye, Dr Suzanne Nti, Professor Goski Alabi, Mr Hicham El Achgar and Mr Michael Abbiw, with Ms Cecilia Antwi Kyem appointed as Board Secretary. Mr Emmanuel Agyei also serves on the Board in his capacity as Consulting Chief Executive.

The Board was formally inaugurated on Friday, November 28, 2025, at the firm’s office in East Legon, Accra, with the Oath of Office and Oath of Secrecy administered by H L Justice Rebecca Sittie, a retired Justice of the High Court.

Established in 2011, e Crime Bureau is a tier one licensed cybersecurity service provider offering cybersecurity consulting, digital forensics, financial crimes investigations, legal support, training and technology solutions to clients in Ghana and across Africa.
