Berkha Africa commends Ghana’s 1st ICF Master Certified Coach

Berkha Africa, an organisational development think tank, has commended Scofray Nana Yaw Yeboah for becoming Ghana’s first Master Certified Coach (MCC) from the International Coaching Federation (ICF), the highest and most prestigious credential offered by the global coaching body.

This landmark achievement not only places Mr Yeboah, who is one of the lead consultants at Berkha Africa, among the top echelon of management coaches worldwide but also marks a significant turning point for Ghana’s corporate leadership and coaching landscape.

Statement

A statement by Berkha Africa to celebrate Mr Yeboah’s historic professional milestone explained that his elevation to the MCC status represents a transformational boost for Ghana’s leadership development space, especially at a time when the corporate sector is seeking expertise for deeper leadership capacity, ethical business culture and productivity through people-centred strategy.

“With 64 MCC holders in Africa, this credential represents the gold standard in professional coaching, awarded only to those who demonstrate exceptional mastery of the ICF Core Competencies, deep commitment to ethical practice and extensive coaching experience,” the statement said.

The statement, signed by Rev. James A. Godly, Executive Lead for Global Partnerships for Berkha Africa, explained that the MCC credential, which required more than 2,500 hours of client coaching experience and rigorous evaluation, equipped Coaches to deliver world-class coaching engagements tailored to both executive and organisational development needs.

“The distinct approach of our Master Coach Scofray, who is also CEO of Zoweh Global Consult and President of International Coaching Federation, Ghana Chapter, emphasises clarity, purpose-driven leadership, emotional intelligence and sustainable transformation; values that are at the heart of Berkha Africa’s mission.

“In addition to this distinction, Scofray, who has achieved more than 3,500 coaching hours, is also recognised as the world’s first Black Professional Certified mBIT Trainer in Africa and the first past learner of the Institute of Commercial Management (UK) to attain Fellow status globally, further underlining his unmatched credentials in the fields of coaching, leadership and human transformation.

“Berkha Africa considers this achievement a strategic advantage to its clients and partners across Africa, especially at a time when businesses are grappling with complex challenges in sustainable leadership, culture, talent retention, ethical and progressive institutional performance,” it said, adding that “Master Coach Scofray’s global-level certification is expected to enrich Berkha’s coaching suite, which includes leadership/executive coaching, development coaching, performance and team coaching.”

Confident

With a certified MCC now rooted in Ghana, Bekha Africa remains confident that corporate leaders in both public and private institutions would have unprecedented access to a gold standard of coaching that has the power to redefine leadership performance in all sectors of the African economy.
