Child devt centre for Zagbang Primary School inaugurated

AN early child development centre has been constructed for the Zagbang Primary School in the Yendi Municipality in the Northern Region.

The facility, which is for the kindergarteen of the school, comprises outdoor playing equipment, an office, a sleeping lobby and a dinning room.

The Director of Children Believe, an NGO affiliated with the Assemblies of God (AG) Care Ghana Yendi Area Child Development Programme (YACDP), Esenam Kavi Desouza, who inaugurated the facility, said early child education was the foundation of every child’s future.

She was assisted by the Team Leader of AG Care Ghana, Frieda Billa. 

Appeal

Ms Desouza appealed to both management and parents of the school to take good care of the facility.

She urged the community to cooperate with the teachers to give their children the best of care and education to enable them grow into responsible adults.

For her part, Ms Billa expressed appreciation to Children Believe Ghana for the support, saying helping to secure a brighter future for children in less privileged communities was significant to their development.

She expressed appreciation to the Yendi municipal education office and the municipal assembly, chiefs and people of the area for their partnership with the organisation that had enabled her outfit to embark on development projects.

A programme officer of AG Care Ghana, Yendi office, Joseph Napari Mutawakilo, said AG Care Ghana and Children Believe Ghana have also provided early child development centres at Zang in the Yendi Municipality and the Wanbung community in the Saboba District in the Northern Region.

The Yendi Municipal Director of Education, Mohammed Adam Mumuni, said the construction of the facilities was not only an investment in physical structure but in the future of children in the community.

He commended their benefactors for the interventions and said the impact would be felt for generations yet unborn.

The Yendi Municipal Coordinating Director, Abdul-Razak Yakah, also thanked AG Care Ghana and Children Believe Ghana for the important facility.

He said as partners, they would ensure the facility was put to judicious use.
