Embrace hard work, honesty to move nation forward — Pastor Kupualor

Ceaseless prayers without hard work will bring the nation no blessing and prosperity, the Head Pastor of the Abutia District of the Apostolic Church of Ghana, Pastor Daniel Gillard Kupualor, has said.

He therefore entreated the citizenry to renew their sense of nationalism and work assiduously to move the nation forward, rather than relying on false prophets to predict the future for them.

Hard work and success

Pastor Kupualor, who was preaching the sermon at a vigil to usher in the New Year at Abutia-Kpota in the Ho West District of the Volta Region, said Ghana’s future was in the hands of Ghanaians and not prophets of doom.

“Success comes through hard work and not predictions by prophets of dubious origin with no sense of direction,” he told the congregation.

Pastor Kupualor said the nation was on a path of progress and that trend should be maintained by the people with patriotism, dedication to duty and honesty.

“So, let us fasten our belts and support the government’s Reset Agenda and be guided by God’s word throughout 2026,” he added.

Pastor Kupualor said God had laudable plans for the nation, which were yielding fruits in the forms of the growing strength of the Ghana cedi, falling inflation and general goodwill among the people.

These, he said, were signs of a bright future for the country and the manifestation of God’s blessings and not forecasts from any prophet.

Desire for quick money

Pastor Kupualor urged Ghanaians to eschew the desire for quick money, saying that every penny earned must come from hard work and not deceitful means.

“It is only when we work with great zeal and honesty that our nation will attain great development heights,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Chief of Abutia-Kpota, Togbe Tsali IV, stated that the community would not tolerate churches of dubious origin whose fanatical messages sow division among families and the wider community.

“We expect new churches that come here to contribute their quota to development, peace and unity,” he said in an interview after the watch night service.
