Greater Works 2025 opens today - Global gathering of faith, worship, divine impact

The Greater Works Conference 2025, the annual global conference of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), takes off today as all roads lead to the Christ Temple East at Teshie in the Greater Accra Region.

The global conference is expected to assemble thousands from across the country and other parts of the world for the annual spiritual convocation hosted by the General Overseer of the church, Pastor Mensa Otabil.

The five-day programme will run from Monday, August 4 to Friday, August 8, 2025, with two sessions every day.

The morning session begins at 9 a.m., while the evening sessions start at 5 p.m., with participants invited to encounter God afresh through teaching, worship, prophecy and impartation.

Global movement

In an exclusive interview, Pastor Otabil said the genesis of Greater Works was guidance from God received during days of prayer and fasting.

“Greater Works started incidentally.

We used to have a month of prayer and fasting we called Spiritual Emphasis Month.

We would end it with one meeting, but over time, we noticed those final meetings were carrying such power and momentum; we decided to extend them.

Eventually, that extension became what is now known as Greater Works,” he explained.

Dr Otabil said in a time where the world was seeking meaning and direction, “people are hungry for spiritual depth and not shallow hype but real answers”.

This, he said, the conference would offer to bring the needed transformation in the life of attendees.

Every year, Greater Works has served as a spiritual reset.

Following the just-ended 40 Days of Power, a month of fasting and prayer observed by ICGC and partner churches, Greater Works provides the culmination, clarity and commissioning that many seek.

Dr Otabil affirmed that “faith is not automatic, even tiny actions lead to something big”, challenging believers to act boldly on what they have received in 40 Days of Power.

Every edition of Greater Works has brought together some of the most seasoned teachers and prophetic voices of contemporary times.

Speakers lined up for this year’s event emphasise a blend of wisdom, experience, and the Spirit’s leading.

They include Bishop Tudor Bismark from Zimbabwe, an apostolic teacher known for his profound insights on leadership, kingdom economics, and spiritual transformation.

He is a long-time friend of the ICGC and a voice trusted across the globe.

Also attending is Bishop Mike Okonkwo from Nigeria, a veteran pastor and one of Nigeria’s most respected Bible expositors credited with building believers in the Word of God.

Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo from the UK and Nigeria, a bridge between continents and generations, is also expected to attend.

He is expected to bring a blend of prophetic insight and practical wisdom for life and business in the kingdom.

For the first time, Pastor Paul Adefarasin from Nigeria known for his eloquence, vision, and apostolic call is also expected to grace the conference.

Music ministers

Also ministering at the conference are Nathaniel Bassey, a trumpet-bearing psalmist from Nigeria.

Dunsin Oyekan, revered as “The Eagle” from Nigeria, is expected to bless participants with their gifts and anointing in song ministrations.

Ghanaian psalmists, Joe Mettle and Edwin Dadson, are also scheduled to minister during the Greater Works Conference.

Structure

The conference has maintained a dual-format structure to serve the diverse needs of attendees.

The morning sessions will offer biblical depth, leadership teaching, and strategic thinking ideal for entrepreneurs, professionals, and those seeking foundational understanding, while the evening sessions are designed for prophetic ministry, powerful worship, and Holy Spirit-led impartation.

The conference is intended to nourish both the mind and the spirit, equipping attendees to return to their families, careers, and communities with renewed power and perspective.

Free transportation

To make this year’s event even more accessible, ICGC has made bus arrangements at designated pick-up points across Accra and surrounding areas.

This free transportation initiative will ensure that anyone who desires to attend Greater Works can do so without transportation being a barrier, with the full details of pick-up times and locations provided on the ICGC social media pages and local assemblies.
