North Dayi MP supports 5 basic schools with desks
The Member of Parliament (MP) for North Dayi Constituency in the Volta Region, Joycelyn Tetteh, has donated 100 dual desks to five basic schools to boost education in the constituency.
The schools are E. P. Primary and D.A. Junior High School, Tsrukpe, which received 30 units, Awate Agame D. A. Basic School, Vakpo White Cross D. A. Basic School
and Aveme Dzeme E. P. Primary School, which got 20 units each, and the Tsyome Sabadu Primary which received 10 units of the desks.

The gesture was upon the request of the head teachers of the basic schools about the predicament of their pupils regarding teaching and learning and how the lack of desks were affecting educators ability to deliver on their mandates for the pupils to reach their potential.
The donation was done on behalf of the MP by her representatives, Brantie Gideon and Wise Derrick Anyomi.
The beneficiary schools thanked the MP for her gesture and described her as a selfless, dedicated and benevolent MP, who was always ready to come to the aid of the constituents.
Ms Tetteh in her message, underscored the need for eduction in the country's socio- economic development.
On the role of parents in the education of their children, Ms Tetteh urged them to ensure that their children not only went to school but completed.

She, therefore, appealed to the pupils to take their studies seriously, without which they would not fit into society and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

She reiterated her commitment to create a conducive environment for education and to equip both teachers and learners with the requisite materials and resources to achieve their set goals.
She, therefore, urged them to practise a stringent maintenance culture in order for the dual desks to serve their purpose for as long as possible.
