Mr Owusu-Nyamekye is the only black African to win this enviable award from the company this year.

The recognition comes in the wake of the company’s strict adherence to implement policies that could provide customers with high quality services across the world.

Mr Owusu-Nyamekye is also an adjunct professor at the Central State University, Wilberforce, near Dayton Ohio where he teaches business courses.

He completed the Ghana Institute of Journalism in 1999 and worked for the Ghana News Agency before leaving for the United States in 2001.

Citation

In a citation read in his honour at the award ceremony, the company’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Dave King, said Owusu-Nyamekye executed key initiatives, including centralising functional areas of the organisation which resulted in efficiency and cost savings for the company.

This brought about cross- functional training where all stakeholders were put in one location as opposed to spreading them out to enable the Dublin Laboratory and the Divisional Headquarters to provide logistical as well as clinical support 24/7 for the country.
