If you are using an uncustomed vehicle in Ghana, GRA has a 2-month amnesty period for you from June 1 to July 31, 2026 to pay the duty or ....

The Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has announced a two-month amnesty for all users of uncustomed vehicles in Ghana, effective from June 1 to July 31, 2026.

In a public notice, the GRA said the amnesty waives all penalties that would have been imposed should such vehicles be impounded by the Customs Division.

Voluntary regularisation

All users of uncustomed vehicles are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to voluntarily regularise documentation of their vehicles that have been illegally imported into the country.

The general public should note that after July 31, 2026, the Customs Division will undertake a nationwide unannounced inspection of vehicles on the roads and impound all uncustomed vehicles.
