IHRMP elevates 20 to fellow status

The Institute of Human Resource Management Practitioners (IHRMP), Ghana has conferred Fellow status on 20 practitioners in good standing who have distinguished themselves.

At a ceremony last Thursday to honour the fellows, three of the 20 were conferred with Honorary Fellows.

They are Mr Alexander Williams, acting Director-General of the Securities and Exchange Commission, who is also a Resource Person at IHRMP, Ghana; Mr Daniel Asiedu, the Managing Director of  the Agricultural Development Bank and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of IHRMP Development Fund; and Mr Theophilus Kofi Nsiah, a resource person with IHRMP.

Fellows

The 17 others who were conferred with “Fellows” were Mr John Wilson, President of IHRMP; Mr Austin Gamey, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Gamey and Gamey Group; Mr Dan Acheampong, CEO of VALCO; Dr Edward Kwapong, Vice-President of IHRMP, and Dr Mrs Ellen Hagan, CEO of L’AINE Services Limited.

Others are Mr Ebenezer Ofori Agbettor, Executive Director of IHRMP, Irene Stella Agyenim-Boateng, formerly of Vodafone Ghana; Mr Joseph P. Appiah of VALCO; Mr Henry Atta-Paidoo, Mr Alexander Amankwaa-Boateng, Mr Bossman Agyako and Mr John Eluerkeh, Chairman of Professional Certification Board.

The rest are Mr Joseph C. Garbrah, Ms Florence Hutchful, Dr Samuel T. Kwashie, and Mr John Warmann.

Status Committee

The Chairman of the Fellows Status Committee,  Mr John Mbroh,  said, “We believe every member should aspire to that level. To our newly inducted Fellows, you are among the best that this Institute has produced, and we expect you to be at the cutting edge of our profession both in scholarship and in knowledge.”

For his part, Mr Wilson said. “As Fellows, we shall be guided by our Code of Ethics to ensure discipline among practitioners and demand fairness from employers in their dealings with our members.
