KNUST rewards Zoomlion
Zoomlion Ghana Ltd has been honoured by the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), for its immense contribution to the university and the society at large.
At a special congregation dubbed "Founder's Day Congregation", a plaque was presented to Zoomlion for earning both national and international recognition for the provision of total solution to the sanitation problem in Ghana and other African countries.

In a citation, before presenting the plaque, the Deputy Registrar, Mr Andoh Benjamin Oduah, said, "your achievements over the years have endeared you to many institutions and professional bodies as demonstrated by the numerous awards you have received.”
"In recognition of your accomplishments in waste management, contribution to higher education and human development, the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology presents to Zoomlion Ghana Ltd a plaque of Corporate Award,” he said.

Mr Andoh described Zoomlion as a leader in waste management and environmental sanitation, having supported the government over the years in ensuring that the objectives of environmental sanitation were prioritised and pursued through the provision of technological know-how, manpower and logistics.
The Managing Director of Zoomlion, Mrs Florence Larbi, who received the plaque on behalf of the company expressed gratitude to the university for the honour.
She mentioned that the company was humbled by the award from a prestigious institution such as KNUST and said the honour would encourage Zoomlion to improve on its responsibility of making the nation a clean and better place.
Environment
The Chancellor of KNUST, the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, appealed to the government to create an enabling environment for corporate industries to operate more effectively so that they would continue to offer support to higher educational institutions in the country.
