Kofi Anokye outlines community-focused approach to Ghana’s real estate sector

At a time of intense competition and rising demand for affordable housing, the Chief Executive Officer of Koans Estate, Mr. Kofi Anokye, says sustainable real estate development in Ghana must extend beyond the construction of houses to promote dignity, security and long-term social value.

Mr. Anokye noted that the real estate industry must continue to position itself as a key contributor to national development, stressing that housing delivery should be closely linked to community wellbeing.

Speaking in an interview with the media, he explained that Koans Estate operates on a philosophy that places community development at the heart of its housing projects.

Reflecting on the evolving housing landscape, Mr. Anokye highlighted the company’s performance in 2025 and shared his outlook for the year ahead.

“We are not just building houses; we are building communities, dignity and a future every Ghanaian can be proud of,” he said.

Established on the belief that homeownership should be accessible to a wide segment of society, Koans Estate has over the years delivered several residential developments across the country. These include gated communities and premium residential clusters designed with an emphasis on security, modern architecture and affordability, particularly for middle-income earners.

Despite economic challenges in 2025, such as inflation and rising construction costs, Mr. Anokye said the company remained committed to meeting project timelines and maintaining high construction standards.

“Every year comes with its challenges, but our commitment to our clients remains unchanged. We adapt, we innovate and we stay grounded in our values,” he stated.

According to him, trust has been a cornerstone of Koans Estate’s growth, built through transparency, integrity and consistent engagement with clients.

As the Christmas season approaches, Mr. Anokye also used the platform to urge the public to celebrate responsibly and prioritise safety.

“This Christmas, let us remember the true reason for the season. Let Jesus Christ be our ultimate focus. Celebrate responsibly, love generously and keep your family safe,” he advised.

He further encouraged Ghanaians to pay close attention to their health and personal safety during the festive period, noting that national development is closely tied to the wellbeing of citizens.

Mr. Anokye also expressed gratitude to employees of Koans Estate across the country, acknowledging their dedication and contribution to the company’s success.

“You are the engine that keeps Koans moving. I appreciate your loyalty, hard work and passion,” he said.

Looking ahead to 2026, he outlined key strategic priorities for the company, including the development of affordable luxury housing, eco-friendly estates, smart home integration, regional expansion and youth employment through construction skills training.

“2026 will be a year of growth, innovation and deeper community engagement,” he affirmed.

As Ghana prepares to enter a new year, Mr. Anokye called for unity and collective effort, expressing confidence that a values-driven approach to development can make a meaningful contribution to national progress.

With growing attention on community-centred planning and sustainable growth, industry observers believe such perspectives could influence the future direction of Ghana’s real estate sector.
