Kpando Chief, Bole Wura build royal bonds for development

A Senior Divisional Chief of Kpando Tsakpe Hloma, Togbui Ablatenu IX, has extended a royal invitation to the Paramount Chief of Bole, Bole Wura Sarfo Kutuge Feso I, to visit Kpando to partake in the annual yam festival.

Togbui Ablatenu extended the invitation when he took the opportunity of a royal funeral in Bole to pay a courtesy call on the Bole Wura at his palace on May 24.

A son of the Kpando royal family is married to a daughter of the Bole royal family, and Togbui Ablatenu believes the opportunity offered by the royal bond should engender mutual development, cordial relationship between the people of Kpando and Gonjas, cultural exchanges to showcase best chieftaincy practices, and above all establish the two people, even if 648KM apart, as a great example of good neighbourliness.

For his part, Bole Wura Sarfo Kutuge Feso who expressed joy at the honour of the visit, intimated that Kpando and Bole have now been bonded spiritually and also by blood.

He presented a ram and tubers of yam to Togbui Ablatenu and his entourage in keeping with tradition and as a sign of unity between the two people.

Bole Wura Sarfo Kutuge Feso said modernity and technology has ensured that all destinations are within reach, sometimes at the press of a button.

Togbui Ablatenu expressed gratitude for the warm reception and prayed for continued peace and unity between the people.
