Known as the “kpasɔlemɔ”, the ritual climaxes the months long activities of the Homowo which commenced in the third week of May.

It saw patrons from all walks of life joining the indigenes at the forecourt of the Lakpa deity, 'Kpatsoshishi', where the main ritual is performed.

The La Kpa Wulɔmɔ, Nuumo Yemo Obroni VII, led the people to perform the rites amid heavy drumming and singing to mark the festival which is being celebrated on the theme: “Development through good neighbourliness and peace; the role of traditional festivals”.

Children were not left out as they joined the celebration not only as witnesses to the beautiful culture of the La people but as learners and custodians of what would become their duty to perform in the future.
