The Executive Chairman of KRIF Ghana Limited, Mr Kennedy Okosun, at the occasion, commended the Israeli Ambassador, Mrs Sharon Bar-li, for her contributions towards the socio-economic development of Ghana in the four-year period of her tour.

He recalled the robust relationship that evolved between Ghana and Israel, thus strengthening partnership in areas of infrastructure, investments and business.

KRIF Ghana Limited, he further stated, was motivated to honour Ambassador Bar-Li with the send-off dinner as an honour and commendation for her good work in Ghana.

Mr Okosun added that for over four decades before now, Israel did not have a mission in Ghana.

Ambassador Bar-Li came to Ghana to re-establish Israeli presence in what is now a fully fledged embassy in Ghana. Previously, Ghanaians travelling to Israel had to go to the Israel Embassy in Nigeria or Côte d’Ivoire.

Mr Okosun noted that Israel, having made giant strides in agriculture and being one of the few countries in the world with self-sufficiency in agricultural produce, should support West African countries in this area.

Recently, the Minister of Agriculture, Mr Fiifi Kwetey, was a guest of the Israeli government.

Through the relentless efforts of Ambassador Bar-Li, stronger bonds have been built between Ghana and Israel.

Mrs Bar-Li commended KRIF Ghana for the honour done her. She said she came to Ghana as Israel’s Ambassador but was leaving as Ghana’s Ambassador.

She thanked Ghanaians for facilitating her work, while commending the people of Ghana for the proverbial hospitality.

Also present at the dinner were the Founder and General Overseer of the Action Chapel International, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams; the Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr Ekwow Spio Garbrah, the German Ambassador and his wife, as well as the Nigerian High Commissioner and his wife.
