The items comprised 30 bags of rice, 10 cartons of Milo, 10 gallons of cooking oil, 10 cartons of milk and 10 bags of sugar.
This is the second time the council is supporting the Chief Imam. Last year, the council made a similar donation during the period of Ramadan.

The Leader of the Prophets and Spiritual Churches Council, Nakoa Nazareth Ansah Jamson, presented the items to the Chief Imam at his residence at Fadama. He said as Muslims observed Ramadan, the council deemed it prudent to support them with the items to aid them when they broke fast.

Furthermore, he said the spiritual exercise being undertaken by Muslims was not for their sole benefit but also for the good of the whole country.

“Muslims are not fasting only for themselves but for the spiritual cleansing of the whole country,” he said.
He lauded the Chief Imam for his role in promoting peace in the country.

Sheikh Dr Sharubutu commended the spiritual churches for their kind gesture and pledged to continue pushing for religious harmony among Ghanaians.
