Kumasi: Man arrested for defrauding bank customers (video)

A 49-year-old man has been arrested by the Ashanti regional police command for fraud.

Kwaku Badu is alleged to have defrauded nine customers of some banks, including the Kumasi branch of Unibank of over GhȻ65,000.
According to some victims the suspect who disguises himself as a staff of the banks dissuades his victims from joining regular queues within the banking halls with a promise of fast tracking their deposits, but bolts after they leave their monies with him.
He was reportedly arrested after several complaints had been filed at the Central Police command in Kumasi.
