Major Mahama murder: Trial of 14 suspects to start March 5
Trial of the 14 alleged killers of Major Maxwell Adam Mahama will commence on March 5, 2018.
The High Court, presided over by Mrs Mariam Owusu, a Justice of the Court of Appeal sitting as an additional High Court Judge, fixed the date on Thursday when the 14 accused made their first appearance at the court.
The accused persons were committed to stand trial by the Accra Central District Court on January 11, 2018

On March 5, 2018, a jury is expected to be empanelled at the court while other preliminary issues will also be dealt with by the High Court.
The accused persons are William Baah, the Assemblyman of Denkyira Obuasi; Bernard Asamoah alias Daddy; Kofi Nyarko aka Abortion; Akwasi Baah; Kwame Tuffour; Joseph Appiah Kubi; Michael Anim and Bismarck Donkor.
Others are John Bosie; Akwasi Baah; Charles Kwaning; Emmanuel Badu; Bismarck Abanga and Kwadwo Anima.
They have all been charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
The prosecution led by a Chief State Attorney, Ms Evelyn Keelson, is expected to call 15 witnesses to testify that the 14 accused lynched the military officer at Denkyira Obuasi in the Central Region in May, 2017.
