The deceased, Samuel Nkrumah, is suspected to have fallen from the last floor of the eight-storey apartment, where he was seen with his friends on the previous night.

Police brief

Briefing the Daily Graphic, the Korle Bu District Police Commander, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Mr Peter Yembilla, said Nkrumah lived as a squatter with some friends on the last floor of the building.

“We do not want to suspect any foul play but we will invite some residents and friends to answer some few questions when investigations begin,” he said.

Mr Yembilla indicated that a lot of reasons had been assigned to the death but he could only confirm them or otherwise after the investigations.

The body of the Nkrumah has since been deposited at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital morgue for autopsy pending investigations.
