New DVLA initiative targets road crashes with in-office safety videos
The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has introduced refresher road safety videos at its offices nationwide as part of efforts to educate motorists and help reduce road accidents.
In a public notice, the Authority said the initiative formed part of broader measures to improve road safety by providing clients with useful information on safe driving practices while they waited to access services at DVLA offices.
The videos, which are being screened in customer waiting areas, are intended to serve as refresher content for both existing and prospective drivers who visit DVLA offices across the country.
The Authority explained that the videos highlight key road safety practices and seek to raise awareness among motorists on responsible driving behaviour.
The DVLA said it believed the initiative would contribute significantly to educating drivers, helping to minimise road crashes and protect lives on the country’s roads.
The Authority also encouraged clients visiting its offices to take time to watch the videos in order to better understand safe driving practices and promote safer road use.
